Why is the link on converting between different key formats here? It's not as if it was a good idea to use the same key for a lot of different services or something like that. Having some standardized way of cross-signing keys, yes, but that doesn't require conversion, nor would conversion actually help. For example, X.509 certificates can only have exactly one signer.
